User Responsibilities
You are responsible for your account security. For children under 13, the service may only be used with parental/guardian consent and supervision (GDPR Article 8).

Stories are AI-generated. Content safety filters are applied but 100% safety cannot be guaranteed.
Intellectual Property
Stories you create belong to you. KinderVerhaal platform and technology rights belong to us.
Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is". KinderVerhaal does not guarantee content accuracy. Mandatory statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Subscriptions & Payments
KinderVerhaal offers auto-renewing subscriptions. When purchased on the website, the prices are: Premium Monthly €8.99 per month and Premium Yearly €79 per year. A subscription automatically renews at the end of each period unless cancelled. In the mobile apps, purchases are made through the Apple App Store (via your Apple ID) or Google Play Store; the price and billing (in your local currency) are set and charged by Apple or Google to your store account and may differ from the web prices. On the website, payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds for store purchases are subject to the refund policy of the relevant store (Apple/Google); for web subscriptions the right of withdrawal below applies.
VAT
No VAT is charged (Belgian small-business exemption, art. 56bis VAT Code). The web prices stated are final prices.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. App subscriptions (Apple/Google): cancel in the subscription settings of your store account (Apple: Settings > your name > Subscriptions; Google Play: Play Store > profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions). Web subscriptions (Stripe): send an email to [email protected] from your account email address stating "cancel"; we will confirm the cancellation. The subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period and you will not be charged for the next period.
Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of its conclusion without giving any reason. At checkout you expressly requested that the service start immediately. If you withdraw within those 14 days, you pay an amount proportionate to what has already been provided (Art. VI.51, §3 of the Belgian Code of Economic Law). Once the service has been fully performed, the right of withdrawal lapses (Art. VI.53, 1°). To withdraw, send a clear statement to [email protected] or use the model form: https://kinderverhaal.be/en/withdrawal. Purchases through the App Store or Google Play: withdrawal and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms.
Governing Law and Courts
These terms and the contract are governed by Belgian law. Disputes will be brought before the courts of the Antwerp district, division Turnhout. If you are a consumer in another EU member state, you keep the mandatory consumer protection of your country of residence.
