This policy explains how KinderVerhaal uses cookies on our website.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our website. They are used to remember your preferences and improve your experience.

Types of Cookies We Use

Essential cookies: required for basic website functions: the secure login session, your language preference (NEXT_LOCALE, max. 1 year) and a cookie with language and country context for displaying the site (kv_user_context, max. 1 year). Preference storage: your choice in the cookie banner is kept in your browser's local storage (cookie_consent), not as a cookie. Analytics measurement: only with your consent; see below. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.

Services We Work With

Analytics: Umami, a statistics tool that we host ourselves (analytics.2run.be). It sets no cookies and is only loaded after you give analytics consent in the cookie banner; your IP address is processed in the process. Error monitoring: GlitchTip (self-hosted) records technical error reports from the website, with personal data masked and without session recordings. Payments: when you pay on the website through Stripe, Stripe may set its own cookies on its own domain; the same applies to signing in with Apple or Google.

Managing Cookies

You can change your choice in the cookie banner at any time, or control or delete cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling essential cookies may prevent the website from functioning properly.
